Earlier this year when we were all in lockdown, I started posting songs on my Facebook page under the heading of Quarantunes. Making music a regular part of my life after a few years away from it got me excited to work on new recordings again.

Third First Christmas is my first new album since 2017, my first new set of Christmas recording since 2013, and my first solo album since 2015. This has been a dark year, and I wanted the album to reflect that, from my moody painting on the cover to the song choices to many of the stock arrangements. But I also got engaged this year to a girl who lights up even the darkest room, so the album also has moments of sheer joy. Some of the songs are old favorites revisited from my Striving Artists releases, Some were in our annual Christmas shows but never made it to record, and a whole bunch are new. The whole thing was done from start to finish and only a matter of weeks and I’m excited to share it all with you while it’s still fresh!

I’m very proud of this one, and I can’t wait to share it with you all!
